March For Life
March for Life Pilgrimage Washington DC January 23-26, 2013
Please prayerfully consider joining the St. John Neumann Pilgrimage to Washington DC. for the 40th Annual March for Life. In the march hundreds of thousands from across the U.S. are united with a strong voice to speak against the 40 years of legalized abortion and the injustice it has been upon women, men, children and this great county of ours.
This is a life changing pilgrimage. It is a place where eyes are opened to truth, tragedy and sorrow. Hearts are set on fire to spread the gospel of life. Broken hearts are mended for those who were told abortion would set them free only find they were chained to the choice they were forced to make. Here you will find the courage and support that you need to stand against what our laws allow and society promotes.
Some of the events we may be attending are the March For Life Convention, where we will hear amazing speakers. Attend a Vigil Mass for Life at the Basilica on Jan. 24rd. On the 25th we hope to participate in the Youth Rally and Mass for Life. We will be participating in the 40th
March for Life. We will attend Students for Life Conference on Jan. 26. We will tour our countries national monuments that commemorate our founder's belief in life, liberty, and justice. We will visit the Holocaust Museum. This itinerary is tentative and could change; we will try to do as much as time allows.
Depart St. John Neumann Wed. Jan. 23 approximately 4pm.
Return St. John Neumann Saturday, January 26th.
We will travel by charter bus (Brewster Travel) and stay at Sacred Heart Church.
Cost is $150 per person. $25 non-refundable deposit will hold your seat.
Deadline for deposit is Nov. 4.
To help offset the cost to each family we have two fundraising opportunities to help raise money to pay for the trip. A family from the parish of SJN has offered us Texas Road House Gift Cards, these would come in $25 increments and you would receive ½ from each card you sell. Selling $250 worth of gift cards would pay for the trip (10 gift cards). The second would be to have sponsors, for example grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends etc.... could sponsor your child for any amount they choose.
We'll have registration forms at the Respect Life board in the information lobby. Deposits and registrations should be mailed to Lorraine Vance with the enclosed pre-addressed envelope. Gift cards will be available for those who wish to sell them (gift cards can't be returned please take only what you plan to sell). Please plan to have all of your gift cards sold and money turned in by Nov. 11th. Total balance due NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 1. We'll provide sponsorship letters for any one seeking sponsors. This trip is a wonderful opportunity for youth, families, individuals; anyone who wants to support the right to life is invited. Any adult joining us must complete Protecting Gods Children Program.
