Women’s Discipleship Group
St. John Neumann began offering the Walking with Purpose Program in September of 2015. Walking with Purpose is a Catholic women’s Bible study that aims to bring women to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ by offering personal study and small group discussions that link our everyday challenges and struggles with the solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Roman Catholic Church.
Walking with Purpose will again meet for 22 weeks from late September, 2017 through April, 2018 in the Faith & Family Center. The meetings will be held Thursdays at 6:30 pm and Fridays at 9:15 am. Childcare will be available during both sessions. Each meeting will begin with 20 minutes of large-group fellowship with light refreshments, followed by group prayer & welcome, then will break down into small groups at roundtables of 8 women for 1 hour. Those new to Walking with Purpose will be following the program “Opening Your Heart: The Starting Point”. A video introduction to “Opening Your Heart: The Starting Point” can be viewed here, along with a sample week’s lesson. Returning participants will study “Touching the Divine”; view the video introduction for this study here. Click here for detailed schedules for both “Opening Your Heart” and “Touching the Divine”.
Registration will open August 26 and will close September 10. Registration forms will be available here on August 26. Please contact Michele Niklaus with any questions or concerns. We are looking for volunteers to fill open positions in small group leadership, registration hospitality, childcare and more. Please come be a part of something very special at SJN!
