Men’s Retreat

Tell Me a Story:  Being New Evangelists in the New Evangelization

All men of the diocese are invited to attend St. John Neumann’s Annual Men’s Retreat, Saturday August 19 from 8 am to 8 pm in the Faith & Family Center. Deacon Greg Kandra will be our retreat facilitator.  The day will include Mass, Adoration, prayer, spiritual growth, food and fellowship.

Deacon Greg is the Multimedia Editor for Catholic Near East Welfare Association, a pontifical association founded by Pope Pius XI in 1926. He oversees the agency’s blog “One-to-One” and edits its award-winning magazine, ONE. He is also the author of a popular blog that carries his name on the Catholic website Aleteia. The blog has garnered over 12 million readers from around the world since its inception in 2007.

Deacon Greg spent nearly three decades in broadcast journalism, most of that time at CBS News, where he was a writer and producer for several programs including “48 Hours,” “60 Minutes II,” “Sunday Morning” and “The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.” In addition to his work with CBS News, he served as a writer and producer on the live finales of the hit reality series “Survivor.” He also co-wrote the CBS documentary “9/11”.
