Girls in Faith Together (GIFT)
Contact: Tara Norling, 614-440-6654
A gift is defined as a thing given willingly without compensation. Our Lord has gifted us everything. Our lives and the lives of our family members are an amazing gift we could never repay. Our daughters are growing up in an ever changing world and we are responsible for helping to build a solid foundation of faith. GIFT is an acronym standing for “Growing in Faith Together.” At St. John Neumann, GIFT was created to help daughters and mothers grow in their faith and strengthen their connection with one another. This group also provides a positive environment for our girls of faith to connect with their Christian virtues, values that will solidify this foundation. As mothers, we are thrilled and blessed to have this opportunity to learn and grow with our daughters.
This year we will hold monthly meetings to learn and discuss a variety of virtues and their accompanying Saints. Each month we will participate in a service project that relates to a specific monthly virtue while addressing our community needs. Specific months may require additional service days outside of our scheduled meeting times. All meetings will be held in the Faith and Family Center at St. John Neumann from 6:00-8:30 pm. Within this meeting time we will have our virtue lesson, discussion with dramatic skits, pizza, along with service projects or crafts.
