Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic family service organization with over 1.6 million members and operates in 16 countries. The Knights have five core principles: charity, church, community, family and youth. It was founded in 1882 by Father Michael McGivney and membership is open to any practicing Catholic man who is 18 years or older. The official youth organization is known as the Columbian Squires and its focus is to develop leadership qualities and a strong sense of civic and religious responsibility.
