Run the Race Club

Throw aside every encumberance that clings and persevere in running the race that lies ahead.  Hebrews 12: 1-2

Founded in 1999, The Brian Muha Memorial Foundation, Inc./Run the Race Club is a center where love, friendship, guidance and support is given to inner-city young people so they can develop morally and intellectually, acquiring the virtues and attitudes needed for everlasting happiness.  St. John Neumann will be helping at Run the Race Club on the afternoon of Thursday, December 7 from 3:30-6:00 pm.  Volunteers will play games with the kids after school, help with homework, and share a dessert treat.  This is a good opportunity for middle school and high school students to volunteer with a parent.  Please sign-up via SignUpGenius.

View this video to learn more about the mission of the Run the Race Club and the ways in which volunteers help to support the mission.

St. John Neumann will also be collecting used electronics and bikes, scooters, and skateboards for Run the Race the weekend of November 4 & 5, 2017.  Electronic items requested include used cell phones, iPads, and laptops. Please place any donations in the bin in the Cloister Walkway beginning in mid-October.  The children of Run the Race will refurbish these items for their own use or for sale.
