The Rosary is one of the most treasured prayers of Catholic Christians
throughout the world and throughout the centuries. It is a wonderful &
profound spiritual exercise of the soul, mind, and heart, as we contemplate
and reflect upon the mysteries of our salvation in Jesus Christ. The focus
of this contemplative prayer is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Son
of the God. Each mystery (scene/event) of the Rosary comes from the Holy
Scriptures, and is rooted in our Christian Faith. As we recall the central
biblical scenes surrounding the life of Christ, we are drawn more deeply
into the meaning of our own salvation and a greater love and appreciation
for our relationship with Christ. We ask Mary, the mother of our Lord,
and a model of discipleship, to pray for us and with us, as we unite
ourselves to her Son. The praying of the Rosary can help us find inner
peace, spiritual direction, purpose and meaning in our identities as
followers of Christ, and the answer to our prayers according to the
trusted will and ways of God.
