The ministry of altar serving requires dedication, attentiveness to detail and appropriate reverence for the sacred articles and solemnity of the liturgy. Altar servers generally serve at Mass once every 4-6 weeks, and may scheduled to serve at funerals and other parish liturgies. Servers may be called upon as a substitute, or to serve at additional liturgies during Christmas and Easter. Emcees for our liturgies are also needed. Both adults and children (fourth grade and up) are encouraged to participate. Training for this ministry is offered in January.
