The cantor is a leader of song at services where a Choir is not present or available. The cantor leads the singing of the Psalm, the Gospel Acclamation [Alleluia], the Entrance and Dismissal songs, and the Communion hymn.
Family Choir welcomes children, third grade through eighth grade, and parents to enhance parish Eucharistic liturgies for the special feast of Christmas. Rehearsals are scheduled at a convenient time allowing for sufficient preparation.
Psalm 150 calls us to praise God with instruments: flute, trumpet, violin, piano, guitar, and other musical instruments. If you enjoy playing, join our songs of praise! Instrumentalists are needed for all choirs.
Our musical groups are always looking for trained organists and pianists. We welcome your interest, talent, and commitment.
This is the primary ensemble of the Saturday 4:00pm liturgy. Eighth grade students thru adults join instrumentalists to enhance this liturgy. Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 6:30pm in the Church.
We are always looking for sound technicians to support our musical groups.
The Liturgical Choir at the 9:00am Sunday liturgy welcomes eighth grade students thru adults. Their musical repertoire spans the historical tradition of the Church as well as modern setting of motets and anthems. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:00pm in the Church.
The Contemporary Choir at the 11:00am Sunday liturgy welcomes adults and students in at least 8th grade, to join instrumentalists in giving praise with music of a contemporary style. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm in the Church.
