Women’s Discipleship Group

Walking With Purpose

St. John Neumann began offering the Walking with Purpose Program in September of 2015.  Walking with Purpose is a Catholic women’s Bible study that aims to bring women to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ by offering personal study and small group discussions that link our everyday challenges and struggles with the solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Roman Catholic Church.

We will meet in the Faith and Family Center on Thursday evenings at 6:30, or Friday mornings at 9:15. Each meeting will begin with 30-minutes of large-group fellowship with light refreshments, followed by group prayer & welcome, then we will move into small groups at round tables of 8 women for 1 hour. Both Thursday evening and Friday morning will once again offer childcare.

We are offering two 22-week studies for the 2019-2020 year.  For those new to WWP, register for Opening Your Heart (OYH).  Those who have already been involved in a WWP bible study can register for Discovering Our Dignity (DOD).  DOD focuses on a different woman from Scripture each week and looks at what advice that woman can offer to our modern-day life.  Both courses will be offered in our Thursday evening sessions from 6:30-8pm or on Friday mornings from 9:15-10:45.  Cost for the sessions is $50.00.  Sessions will begin on September 19/20 (session books will be purchased by SJN with your registration fee and distributed to you at the start of your study):

Opening Your Heart:  The Starting Point is a twenty-two week Bible study that will take you on an exciting journey closer to the heart of God! Opening Your Heart is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart and we encourage all participants new to Walking with Purpose to begin here, regardless of previous experience with Bible study.

Discovering Our Dignity Women of the Old and New Testament were as flawed and broken as we can be, yet the power of God worked in their lives. Learn from their experiences in Discovering Our Dignity, a 22-lesson Bible study. Through their stories recorded in Scripture, women of the Bible reach out to touch our “present” in a tender, honest and loving way — woman to woman — with ancient wisdom, sage advice, and insights from sorrowful failures and emotional wounds.

Our fall studies begin September 19 & 20, 2019.

View the Thursday evening schedule; view the Friday morning schedule.

Registrations will be taken through August 31.
