The St. John Neumann Knights of Columbus invite you to apply for a one-year, non-renewing, $2,000 scholarship to the college or university of your choice. The scholarship will be for use during the 2021-2022 academic year. The application is available here, and is open to any registered member of St. John Neumann Church who will be attending a college or university in studies during the 2021-2022 academic year. The selection committee will consider the following factors in choosing the recipient: parish involvement, character, financial need, volunteer and community activities, and a personal statement/essay (not to exceed 500 words) submitted by the applicant. Along with this personal statement/essay, applicants will also need a letter of recommendation from a school guidance counselor, teacher, coach, employer, community activity leader, or from a volunteer or employee of St. John Neumann Church.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: Completed applications must be postmarked by July 1, 2021. Mail completed applications to “Knights of Columbus Scholarship”, 606 Heartland Ct., Sunbury, OH 43074. Due to COVID-19 the scholarship will be awarded to the recipient by phone. The recipient’s name will also be printed in the church bulletin.
