Fr. Ryan Schmit and the staff at St. John Neumann invite you to experience the joy of Christmas.
If you have been away from Mass for the last several months, or maybe even longer than that, we want to welcome you back. Each Mass requires a mask being worn and follows the protocols for social distancing.
To prevent overcrowding, reservations for reserved seating in our Church, Chapel, Faith & Family Center, and classrooms will be taken via SignUpGenius. The link to the sign-up will be available on our website’s home page beginning November 19, www.saintjohnsunbury.org
Please send an email to email@example.com on or after November 19, or call 740-965-1358 x 120, if you have questions or need assistance with the sign-up.
Christmas Mass Schedule: Plan to arrive and be seated with your family 30-45 minutes prior to the start of Mass and enjoy Christmas prelude music.
Christmas Eve: 4 pm, 6:30 pm, 10 pm
Christmas Day: New at SJN this year! Midnight Mass (with incense); 8 am, 10 am (with incense)
If you are more comfortable participating from your car, you can watch the Livestream or listen to 89.5 FM. Those who choose this option are welcome to enter the Faith & Family Center to receive the Eucharist during the distribution of Communion.
For those who are more comfortable watching the Mass from their homes and then driving to church to receive the Eucharist, Fr. Schmit will offer Communion on Christmas Eve from 8:00-9:00 pm. Individuals and families may arrive any time during that hour to receive the Eucharist.
If you are not able to attend Mass in person on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, remember that Christmas is celebrated over eight days (the Octave of Christmas), until January 1st, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. Everyone is invited to join us throughout the Octave.
We look forward to welcoming you to St. John Neumann as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. May the Lord bless you and your families with peace, love and joy, and keep you in good health.
