Theology of the Body Workshop, October 22-23
Theology of the Body was St. John Paul II's first major teaching project as Pope, and presents a complete vision for humanity - a people fully alive. Theology of the Body proposes that the body makes visible an invisible reality, and through it men and women find joy, hope, freedom, and fulfillment. Sr. Helena Burns will present a special workshop for Confirmandi and their parents on Saturday, October 22, 10 am-3 pm and Sunday, October 23, 1-4 pm. Confirmandi and parents should register here for the sessions. Parishioners are welcome to attend, but space will be limited. Click here to view the informational flyer and to see a list of topics to be covered by Sr. Helena. Please contact Tina Burtch with questions.
SJN Speaker Series, October 22 & 23
All are invited to participate in two talks offered by Sr. Helena Burns and the Daughters of St. Paul on the evenings of October 22 and 23. The first talk, on vocations, will offer insight to young people who are discerning their future as it relates to marriage, living single, the priesthood, and sisterhood. This talk will take place on 10/22 at 7 pm in the Faith & Family Center. See this flyer for more information. The second talk is scheduled for 10/23 at 7 pm and is entitled "Being Catholic...in a Digital World". This session will focus on how we can live as Catholics in the midst of all the digital input and technology around us, and how we can be more Christ-like on social media. Click here for more information. Both talks are free and there is no need to register. All are welcome to attend!
